Skatepark rules
Here are some of the main rules that will allow a better understanding on the places where skateboarding, rollerblading, bmx, scooter…
Coexist
Say hello when you arrive on the spot, it is always appreciated to greet everyone as soon as you arrive.
Observe carefully what is happening around you. Respect and don’t cut the lines of the others riders.
Do not snake… wait your turn and do not pass in front of everyone.
Do not practice flat in the middle of the park, favour the sides so as not to disturb.
For the parents: teach the children all these rules, supervise them and equip them with protections. (For their safety and the one of the other riders).
Skateboarding is a great community so don’t hesitate to help each other.
Control yourself
Try to stay calm and do not get angry, even in the middle of a madness… Don’t throw your board around.
Don’t push your limits, especially if you don’t feel ready. Move forward gradually. Skate at your own risk.
In front of a person in trouble with a trick, don’t reproduce it to show them you know how to do it (unless it’s your friend and you want to annoy him ahah).
Learn when to say stop : Don’t persist on a trick that doesn’t want. Especially if you’re tired, you could get hurt. And if you are filming, we all know the classic “one last try…” think about the cameraman!
The skatepark
Today more than ever, we have to be responsible. Pick up your trash before you leave the skatepark.
Try not to sit on the ramps, you could block the spot for other riders.
Don’t damage the facilities, no graffitis…
Don’t wax the modules too much, and if someone is skating this spot, ask them if they don’t mind.
Finally, skate for fun, have a good time and make the most of the session!
